Hi Dave, I also had the date as 1890 until I found this https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/727846:1110?ssrc=pt&tid=103181253&pid=350024162739 in the Drouin Collection. In the date column it has 26 Oct 1892. Be careful with the second page as the the rows don't line up. The 1901 Census has 26 Oct 1890, his mother would have been 52 in 1890, so sounds more likely, PANB also has 26 Oct 1890, so I will go with that.
