Biography

Hey cousin!

I mainly use Ancestry when I have a paid subscription. Therefore, I'm a bit wobbly on my feet here on WikiTree. My intentions are good with all things, I promise! Please do let me know if I did something wrong/step on your toes! I absolutely do not mean to.

That also means that I tend to not be on here very often, unless I'm given a poke by another WikiTree member. As this is always free, it's more on the back burner for me than other paid sites that I don't always pay for.

I have been DNA tested on Ancestry, 23 and Me, and I have uploaded my DNA to the four major upload sites (GEDMatch, FamilyTreeDNA, MyHeratige, LivingDNA). With DNA I have successfully traced back typically to my 2-3x ggparents.

Genealogy has been a passion of mine since elementary school. My maternal grandfather spent 12 years of his life researching, and passed down a lot of photos and notes to me. My paternal ggrandfather was a mystery solved by DNA. The Tourtellotte family was previously incorrectly mixed with a Tourtillotte family out of New Hampshire on Ancestry and FamilySearch prior to my research in the Rhode Island Archives. That is what prompted me to join WikiTree, the Tourtellotte family was not in the One Tree at all yet! I wanted to add them before they got mistaken once more.
