John Tompson, the son of William Tompson and Anna Hubbard, was born in October 1740, based on his stated age at death, probably in Maine.[1][2]
Rev. John Tompson died at South Berwick, Maine, on December 21, 1828, aged "88 years and 2 months." He had been pastor of the First Church of Berwick for forty one years. He is buried in the Old Fields Cemetery in South Berwick.[1][2]
