William was born on 25 Feb 1834 ^{[1] [2]} in Rutland, Rutland, Vermont. ^{[1] [4] [3]}

Family William was married twice. He and Frances C Durfee ^{[5] [6] [3]} were married in Nov 1855, ^{[5] [3]} in location unknown. William and Frances had children.

After the death of Frances in 1894, William was married to Mary A (Porter) Mooney of Castleton in Aug 1896. ^[3]

Death and Legacy William died on 17 Apr 1900, ^{[4] [2] [3]} at age 66, in Rutland, Rutland, Vermont. ^{[4] [3]}

William was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland, Rutland, Vermont. ^[2] Also buried at Evergreen: his first wife, Frances. ^[6] The grave of his second wife, Mary, has not yet been located.
