She was adopted by John Bachelor and his wife Emory; she was Emory's niece.

In the 1870 census Carrie (age 10) was in Wallingford, Rutland, Vermont, United States.^[2]

In the 1880 census Carrie (age 20) was the single daughter of John C. Batcheller in Wallingford, Rutland, Vermont, United States.^[3]

Carrie married Edward C. Parmenter on 10 November 1886 in Vermont, United States.^[4] Parents liseted as Chauncey Thrall and Lydia Stafford.

In the 1900 census Carrie (age 40) was the married daughter of John C Batcheller in Wallingford town, Rutland, Vermont, United States. Also in the census were husband Edward and children: Edward, John and Charles.^[5]

Carrie died (age 86) on 4 May 1946 in Belmont, Mount Holly, Rutland, Vermont, United States.^[6]

Carrie was a member of the DAR, Member number #40707, she is a descendant of both George Dyer and of Capt. Samuel Thrall.
