Biography

Charles M. Thorp, 79, of Renton, Washington, died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He was born February 11, 1885 in Normal, Illinois, the son of John Thorp (?-?) and Maleta (unknown) Thorp (?-?).

Survivors include the widow, Golda J. (Souder) Thorp (1891-1983) of the home; two sons; John Milton Thorp (1923-2008) or Richland, Washington and Charles Louis Thorp (1924-1999) of Renton, Washington; one daughter; Miss Mary Elizabeth (Thorp) Hudgens (1927-2016) of the home; three sisters; Miss Luella Thorp (1881-1968), Miss Nita Elizabeth Thorp (1893-1981) and Mrs. Lucy (Thorp) Moyer (1887-?) all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moore's Chapel. Burial in Farmington Cemetery.
