Alice Maud Thornell (married name Richardson) was born in 1883 in Tyabb, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Annie Seaton (Westaway) Thornell and Thomas Thornell.^{[citation needed]}

She married George Charles Richardson in 1915 in Victoria.^[1] Their children were:

• Joan Isabel Richardson (1915–1966)^[2]
• Ronald Charles Richardson (1917–?)^[3]

Alice died in 1944 in Auburn, Victoria, aged 63 years.^[4]
