Your having the surname Thorn, makes me wonder if you have had your Y-DNA done. In Colonial America, there were 5 distinct & separate Thorn Clans. Each clan has attempted to claim people from the other clans. Which makes it a nightmare figuring out who really belongs to whom. I had my DNA tested at Family Tree, so that I could compare my DNA to others with the Thorn Surname. The Good news is that I have a very unique DNA signature. Bad news is, there were no Thorn's to compare it to. Thus began the Thorn/Thorne/ect DNA project. We now have Dna samples from maybe three of the Thorn clans. So you might hook up to those that have tested. If not, you may be one that we need a sample of. I would also like to see the family from England testing. So, I can find Family
