Biography

Ruth Thorley was born about 1831 at Hulme, Chorlton, Lancashire, England.

She married Robert Cocker on 23 March 1851 in Manchester Cathedral. ^[1]

In 1851 she was 21 and they were living with James Littler and his family at Stone Street, Hulme, Chorlton, Lancashire.

By 1861 she was aged 30 and they were living with four children; bc1952, James bc1856, Margaret bc1857 and Robert bc1861 at 4, Pryme Street, Hulme, Chorlton, Lancashire.

In 1871 she was with her husband and 6 children in Hulme, Lancashire.^[2]
