Biography

Christiana was born in Manchester on the 23rd January 1820. She was baptised at Holy Trinity, Chester on the 18th July 1823. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Thorley. The baptism record shows the family lived in Manchester and Joseph was a merchant.^[1]

She married John Sykes at Gresford on the 11th September 1846.^[2]

The Sykes family were living in Croeshowell, near Rossett, when Emily, their daughter, married in 1876^[3]

Christiana Watson Sykes of Croes Howell died on the 21st August 1896.^[4]She was buried at Gresford on the 24th August 1896.^[5]
