Taxables and Assessment Lists:

Owen appears on the 1715 taxables list in Haverford Township, Chester County, Pennsyvlania and for Whiteland Township. [1]

In 1722, Owen was listed on the assessment list for the New Garden Township.[1]

Deeds and other Land Transactions:

On the 11th mo., 26th day, 1706, Owen Thomas appears before the Board of Property of the Province of Pennsylvania on behalf of B, Rowles and on his own behalf to request a partition of 250 acres including a tract upon which he then lived in the "Great Valley".[2]

By at least 1724, Owen Thomas acquired land in East Whitehead, Pennsylvania.[3] [4]

Public Offices and Acts:

Owen Thomas served as an early Constable for Whitehead Township. [1]

Owen Thomas was among the petitioners who signed the May 1725 for the establishment of a new township which would be known as the London Britian Township, pin Chester County, Pennsylvania and appears on its first assessment list (1725).[1]

Death:

He died intestate in about 1740 with his sole child and heir being Esther Thomas. [5]

Rev. Owen Thomas was living in Chester County at this time. [6]Rev. Owen Thomas was born 1691, at Gwrgodllys, in the parish of Cilmanllwyd, and county of Pembroke, Wales and arrived in America in 1707. He last lived in Vincent township where he died in 1760.

In an instrument dated March 17, 1741, it is stated that Esther Owen, late called Esther Thomas, Spinster, was the only surviving child of Owen Thomas, late of Merion in the County of Philadelphia, Merchant, deceased and he was married to Ann, also deceased.[7]

I have detached John Thomas as a child. The profile was unsourced and at least four deeds state that Esther Thomas was Owen Thomas only child and sole heir.
