Biography

David was born after 1787 as he must have been under 21 at the time of his marriage to Elizabeth Goulstone

David married Elizabeth at St Peter's parish church Carmarthen, Wales. The marriage record in the parish register states that David was a minor whereas his wife Elizabeth is described as an infant. The marriage which was by licence was with the consent of Guardian (presumably for David) and father (presumably for Elizabeth). It is interesting to note that both Elizabeth and David signed the parish register and that no less than three Goulstone's also signed as witnesses namely William Goulston, Hannah Goulstone and Susan Goulstone.

There is also a record of the marriage given in the Cambrian newspaper of the 14th May 1808 in the BMD section where Elizabeth is described as the youngest daughter of William Goulstone and the her husband David is a printer.
