Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like England Project would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag England will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
Hi, My names Marcia. I was born in Wales, but have lived in Africa and Canada, as well as southern England, where I was schooled. I currently live in Swansea, South Wales, a bus ride from where I was born.
Both my parents are Welsh born. My father comes from an old Valley family. My mother however has a father who is half Welsh/half English and a mother who was born in London but of Irish parentage.
I have a cousin Julian, on my mother's side who is keen on genealogy. He has traced a branch of my mother's side of the family all the w;ay back to King Edward the First of England. Apparently the family tree extends beyond that to Charlemagne and the Kings of France. He is due to send me documentation showing this very shortly.
Hi Marcia, thanks for stopping by WikiTree as a guest. If you'd like to share your tree here, click the volunteer link and leave a comment about your interest in genealogy and family history.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
