Hello James,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi James,

Based on your messages, I suggest you type something short but to the point into the yellow box on your profile - "I would also like to start constructing my own family tree to share online in a safe manner." would be fine, as you wrote it to me - and click "Volunteer".

Then I can confirm you as a member of WikiTree, and all the benefits will be open to you. (Guests are limited mainly to searches.)

I believe it is possible to import or copy an Excel file into a Free page, where you could select who would be able to view it.

You may also get results with a question in G2G Forum in your search for your relative.
