In the 1930 Census the Therrien family are living in Hazel Street, Brockton with their three children, Joseph F, Claire M and Edgar T. Thomas's father, Thomas, is now a Doctor of Podiatry.[1]
In the 1940 Census Thomas is living with his mother, Mary Therrien, at Cottage Street, Brockton.[2]
Service and KIA in World War Two
On 10 August 1942 Thomas E Therrien enlisted for service in the US Military for service in World War 2.[3]
Staff Sergeant Thomas Therrien, aerial gunner, was killed in action on 14 October 1943 when his American Flying Fortress was one of 60 planes shot down during a air-raid on Schweinfurt, Bavaria, Germany.[4]He was serving with the 366 Bomber Squadron, 305 Bomber Group, US Airforce.
Thomas Therrien is buried at Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial
Neuville-en-Condroz, Arrondissement de Liège, Liège, Belgium.[5][6]
The Missing Air Crew Report number 916 regarding the loss of the aircraft on which Thomas Therrien has been scanned and is viewable on the National Archives of the United States[7].
