Biography

AMBROISE DUPUY is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 11 Right; La Ville d'Archangel. Listed with Ambroise is his wife Anne Theriot and their daughter Marguerite.[1]

"Anne Terriot, born about 1745 in the parish of St. Joseph in Acadie, daughter of Charles & Francoise LANDRY. She married on 24 Jul 1764 at Plouer, Cotes-du-Nord [France] to Ambroise DUPUIS; nine children listed. Ambroise, Anne his wife, and Marguerite DUPUIS their daughter were passengers on the ship "La Ville D'Archangel" which departed France on 12 Aug 1785 and arrived in Louisiana on 3 Dec 1785.[2]
