I see you have already entered a profile for William Lewis Eickmeyer. He is my great-uncle, elder brother of my grandfather. I was working on entering all the 11 siblings of my grandfather when I saw your entry.

If I may ask, how is William (or Will) as we call him, related to you?

I have searched my 6800 Hollopeter tree names and cannot find a Norma Hollopeter. Two of my ancestors did migrate to Miami Co., Ohio --John and Matthias Hollopeter, from Pa in the 1830s. She must have come from one of these families. I shall continue to look.

Hi Teresa! Would you be able to update my Mothers Maiden Name? It is spelled incorrectly on the tree. Her name should read Dale Marthinsen Hodgson (Marthinsen with an "sEn". Thank You!

Hi Teresa, I have to work more on my page. But I have Tellier, Marsolais Lemyre, Campbell etc in my profile. My family trees would like like a phone diary for the fifties in Quebec.

Funily, for someone who would be familiar with Quebec the only name I can't seem to be able to find is Tremblay... go figure

I have a LARGE MESS with this group. There are multiple spellings, and on Wikitree some are already entered with the different spelling for a single person so there are multiple entry’s. Still trying to figure it out

Teresa - Thanks for all of your contributions. I noticed that you are just using your name as a source. Per the Honor Code we cite Sources. The Sources FAQ provides more information about the minimum info that should be included for a source.

Hi Teresa

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Thank you for your email. Progress is very slow, finding allot of wrong information. So I have to retrace 26 of my 4 in binders that are all hand written with information verified before my oldest family members passed away.

How do you add Cemetery information? Will keep you updated. Thanks so Much Teresa Theodore

Im, finding allot of very strange information in allot of my group. I have tried to merge information, sent information to the people that have rejected the merge, with identical information.

My Thomas Marks-Marks-4492 was a complete match to Marks-1894 from a Janet(Ramage)Binkley. I have reviewed this information with 7 of my cousins doing the exact same thing with the exact same information that I have had from My Grandmother Neta Davis, daughter of Lillian Marks Davis. On her information Great Great Grandfather Thomas Wesley Marks mother was Elizabeth West. Can u tell me what we are Missing, cause my family is frustrated with seeing alots of the different information. Thanks Teresa A. Theodore

Hi Teresa,

These profiles also appear to be clear duplicates in my humble opinion, and I have re-proposed the merges with clear reasoning. Thank you for not creating further duplicates of the parents. WikiTree's mission is to create a single family tree with one profile for every person. Having two profiles for one person works against this aim.

It's great that you're making connections on WikiTree already, as the other profile manager is also a descendant of George Marks so this is great news. I'm not sure why the merge proposal was rejected, this does sometimes happen. When this does occur reach out again to the other Profile Manager and chat with him/her some more. Friendly collaboration is at the heart of WikiTree.

I hope this helps, if you have any other questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.

Kindest regards, Pam

We have found that (I know it is super frustrating) When in that time frame they often named children after brothers, uncles, Grandfathers. And we are just baffled that this has happened in the Marks grouping. I am afraid to do more with them due to this,

lol we spend 6 days on all our clean up, just trying to figure out Wikitree information on this Group. I have the exact same problem in my Pennells, Crositere, Lafortune groups. Thanks so much for your help. Teresa A. Theodore
