Biography
The daughter of Lenarius Thacker (1809-1839) and Nancy Rogers (1809-1844), Dulcena Thacker was born in Owen County, Kentucky[citation needed] in 1838. Her father died in 1839 and her mother in 1844; in 1850, Dulcena lived in Owen County, Kentucky, residing with her sister, Mary Robert, and her husband.[1] Her siblings included:

Dulcena married James W White, receiving their marriage license in Owen County, Kentucky on March 28, 1857[2] with the marriage solemnized there on March 29, 1857.[3] Their children included:

Archie Bradley White (1866-1937)
Ellen Cordelia White (1868-)
Charles Francis White (1870-1941)
Dulcena and her family made their home together Owen County's District 1, where her husband worked as a tenant farmer.[4] By 1870, they lived together in Monterey Precinct of Kentucky, where her husband had purchased land, farm land that was valued that year at $2,600.[5] By 1880, Dulcena and her family had moved west,residing in Justice Precinct 5 of Navarro County, Texas, farming,[6] residing by 1900 in Fulton Township, Missouri, in Callaway County.[7]
Widowed in 1913, Dulcena lived in 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri, where she and her son, Eugene, also widowed, boarded with William and Bridget Hahn, while Eugene worked as a carpenter.[8] Dulcena White passed away in St Louis, Missouri[citation needed] at the age of 85 and is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton, Missouri.[9]
