Edd was born in 1947. He was the son of Edd Terrill and Martha Keeton. He passed away in 2019.

Obituary

Funeral services for Edd Terrill III, 72, of Lufkin, will be held March 7, 2019, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Interment will follow at Narrow Way Cemetery.

Mr. Terrill was born the son of the late Edd Terrill Jr. and Martha (Keaton) Terrill.

Mr. Terrill was chief of the security department for Memorial Hospital in Lufkin for over 40 years and served on the board of trustees there for over 20 years. He owned and operated Security Services of Lufkin, Inc. until retirement in 2014. Mr. Terrill loved hunting and in his younger years enjoyed his time spent in Missouri. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and the Crystal Beach Bums. Mr. Terrill was a Christian man and a straight shooter. He was a big supporter of the Naranjo Museum of Natural History in Lufkin, and was very involved in his community, giving his assistance and energy.

Mr. Terrill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita; son, Eddie Terrill IV; daughter and son-in-law, Tressa and Eddie Harper; son and daughter-in-law, Lt. Col. Dale and Melanie Terrill; daughter, Megan Terrill; several grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Roby Terrill; sister and brother-in-law, Theta and Ron Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Jimmy Childers; mother-in-law, Ruth Thomas; brother-in-law and wife, Alan and Cynthia Thomas; brother-in-law and wife, Robert and Cheryl Thomas; brother-in-law, Bruce Lumbley; along with numerous nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Preston Thomas; and sister-in-law, Peggy Lumbley.
