Biography
When Samantha McTerrell was born in February 1844 in Georgia, her father, John McTerrell, was 27, and her mother, Jane, was 22. [1][2][3]
She was born McTerrell then some uses shortened it to Terrell or, in error, Terrel.
She grew up in Marion County where Delk had a plantation in the early 1850s.[4]

She married William Shelton Delk (abt.1815-1885) and they had seven children together.[5]

She was great part of plantation life and bought and sold property. After his death she continued to buy and sell property. This can be seen on the County Comptroller's website.[12]
Once widowed, in 1885 Census on 30 June, she had her hands full at 42 yoa with A. L. 13, S. J. 13, (two tween girls) W. W. 9, and Arizona just 3. E. Ferrill 34 and W. E. Giles 25 were still living in the household.[13]
McDonald
She then married James C McDonald on October 16, 1890, in Orlando, Florida.
Grand Finale
She died in 1901 at the age of 57.
