I have only just got back on to this site after many years and just noticed your posting. The Sautelle Family were French Huguenots from La Rochelle in France.(On the southern coast, a beach side area) They moved to Ireland I believe in the early 18th century or before due to protestant's being guillotined for not being Catholic. Reinette Sautelles father, I believe was in the military when they left France. Mind you the Murphy's were catholic at the time. Richard changed his religion before sailing to Australia. Richards father Stephen (or Stephan Murphy) Info on him use both spellings, married Jeanette Brannigan. Stephan was a farmer who died in a point to point running race in his 40's, in Cork Ireland. Good to catch up with you after so many years. I would like to correct one detail in your tree. I have just received Richard Murphys death certificate, after much research here in Sydney,over the past 3 months, which was very frustrating. It states Richards parents are Jeanette Brannigan (Not Renatta) and Stephen Murphy. I think Rienetta Sautelle may be Jeanette Branigans mother or Grandmother. I believe the Sautelles came from La Rochelle in France between 1650 and 1700's. The were persecuted as French Huguenots (Protestants who fled to Cork Ireland). Hope this is of some help. I have no details on Lily Armstrong who came from Melbourne.She would have been born 1889. Not sure where Please give mum and dad my best wishes.I think of you all often. Much love, Shirley
