See Help:Hold Requests for an introduction and usage policies. The following are instructions for placing it on a profile.
Basic Instructions
Like all Research Note Boxes (RNB), the code should be placed just above the ==Biography==.
All three parameters (id, name, and date) are required. If any are missing, the RNB will not be displayed.
When the end date has expired, i.e. if the date parameter shows a day before today, the RNB will not be displayed.

In this example, the id parameter should be your WikiTree ID. This will be used for personal categorization, e.g. Category:Whitten-1 Hold Requests, and be used as the contact link in the RNB.
After the first time you place a Hold Request you will need to create the sub-category for it. If this is the first time you have used personal categories, you will also need to create your main category, e.g. Category:Whitten-1. See Help:Personal Categories for instructions.

For projects and learning programs, the id parameter should be the WikiTree ID of the Project Account.
The name parameter should match how the project name appears in categories since it will be used for the categorization, e.g. Category:England Project Hold Requests. If this is the first time your project has used Hold Requests, you will need to create the sub-category for them by categorizing the sub-category in your project's main maintenance category. See Help:Category Names#Category Names for Maintenance Categories.
