Isaac was born about 1855 in Russia.[1] He was the son of Noakh Landau and Eva Rabinovitz.[2]
He signed a declaration of intent of citizenship on April 3, 1889. [3] He became a citizen of the United States on April 8, 1891, with Benjamin Oppenheimer as his witness. [4]
In 1910 Isaac is recorded in the census as a merchant in the Liquor Store Industry who owns his own home, is naturalised (arrived in US in 1885) and has been married for 38 years. His residence is recorded as 609 Shaw Ave, McKeesport, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. He is living with his wife, his married daughter Eva Zisel (Sunstein) Zugsmith (1876-), son-in-law Max, grandchildren Cecil and George and son Noah. [5]
In 1920 at the age of 65, Isaac is still resident at 609 Shaw Ave, McKeesport, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. However he is not listed as having an occupation. He is still living with his wife (recorded as Mary), married daughter Eva, son-in-law Max, grandchildren Cecil and George and a servant Mary Smith.[1]
Isaac was a widower when he passed away on 4 January 1929 at McKeesport, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA.[2]
He was buried at West View Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA two (2) days later. [6]
I looked for a free version of the immigration/citizenship information on FamilySearch, no luck, so I just have the link for Ancestry.com Weatherall-96 18:50, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

This is a checklist to help you determine if the profile that you are working on is "complete." No profile is ever 100% done, but it is nice to know that the basic foundation of a great profile is laid.
Once you have completed a profile, go to the G2G post (https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1166985) and post the Wiki-ID before starting the next one. The team that gets the most complete profiles of the week will earn the right to have its members add a sticker to their profile. The member that gets the most after four weeks gets a special winner sticker, and can pick a digital surname and style to be made for them (see examples here).
The biography has been arranged in a logical order, with any gedcom "clutter" tidied. | (~~~~) | |
