Biography

Frederick Adolphus Strong was born Joseph Frederick Strong on 11 March 1894 in Littleton, New Hampshire. He married Ellen May Backus in 1921. He died 17 November 1930 at Ithaca Memorial Hospital in Ithaca, New York as a result of burns from a car fire. He was refueling his automobile in Lansing when flames erupted, he saved his step-daughter Stella Bailey from inside the burning automobile.
