Biography

Sidney was born in 1898.[1] He was the son of George Stringer and Mary Violet Pemble.

He lived with his parents and siblings in London, England. His parents later parted ways and his mother remarried.

Sidney served as a Private with the Rifle Brigade, London Regiment in the 1st World War. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the British War Medal.

He married Edith Martin (the daughter of William Charles Martin and Elizabeth Robinson) in 1929 in Warwickshire, England.[2]

He passed away in 1985 at the age of about 97, after being accidentally hit by a car.[3] His widow Edith died about 5 weeks later.

His Will was proved on 10 April 1986 at Birmingham. Effects: £17,947. Last Address: 57 Perrywood Road, Great Barr., Birmingham
