Biography

Daughter of Anton Straub, she was born on 21 March 1728 at Groß-Umstadt, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Hessen. Christening: 21 March 1728 Hering, Dieburg, Hesse, Germany

George Bernard Feigel was her first husband and father to Maria Anna Wilhelmina Strab's first eight children. It is not certain how many of those children with first husband lived to adulthood. According to her marriage certificate, she secondly married Bernard Rossi. [1]

Maria Anna Straub is listed as the widow of the 32 years old Georg Bernard Feigel of Gros Zimmern in his burial certificate [2]

Maria Anna Wilhelmina Straub Feigel seem to have had nine children with her second husband, Bernard Rossi, but only the first child, a daughter, survived to adulthood.

Research Notes

Anna Maria Straub appears to be 15 years old at her first marriage, although she did not have her first child until she was almost 18 years old. Research all Anton Straub families to see if there was a later daughter named Maria Anna in this group.

Note: There seems to be families with the last name of "Staub" in Groß-Umstadt. Is Anton Straub appears to be her father. ? Reread death certificate.

Maria Anna Straub, was born as the daughter of Anton Straub, in Groß-Umstadt, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Hessen. The death record of Bernhard Ros, her husband, has not been located and it's possible he died in military.
