Biography
When Sylvanus Stout was born on 21 April 1814, in North Carolina, United States, his father, John Stout, was 24 and his mother, Elizabeth Moon, was 25. He married Rebecca Stanfield on 6 August 1835, in Orangeville, Concord Township, DeKalb, Indiana, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 7 daughters. He lived in Melrose, Clark, Illinois, United States in 1850 and Monroe Township, Howard, Indiana, United States in 1860. He died on 20 May 1871, in Honey Creek Township, Howard, Indiana, United States, at the age of 57, and was buried in Friends Cemetery, New London, Monroe Township, Howard, Indiana, United States.
