Biography

Exelia was born in East Canada (currently Quebec) about 1854. [1] [2] [3]

She immigrated to the USA about 1865. [2] [3]

She married Dennis Cady around 1868. [1] [2] [3]

By 1900 she had given birth to 17 chidren, 11 of whom were still living. She spoke English but could neither read nor write. [2]
