Mary Elizabeth Stewart was born on 25 December 1845 in Mooresville, Iredell, North Carolina, United States.

Mary married Thomas P Maness (born on 6 January 1834 in Moore; son of Isaac Maness and Mary Pearce).[1] [2] Their son was Reuben Addison Maness (1865–1953).

In 1880, Mary E (34) Maness was in the household of Thomas P Maness in Ritter, Moore, North Carolina. [3]

Mary died on 16 July 1897 in Mooresville, aged 51.[4] [5] [6] [7]
