Lilian Constance Harriette Muriel Stewart was born about 1880. She was the daughter of of Col. Charles Stewart, lawyer in Amherst, and Amelia (King) Stewart. On June 14, 1905, she married William Bruce Almon Ritchie in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.[1] He was a lawyer and military officer. She was the mother of two very successful men. Charles Stewart Almon Ritchie served as Ambassador to West Germany, Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador to the United States, and Canadian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. Roland Almon Ritchie served on the Supreme Court of Canada for twenty-five years. Lilian Constance Harriette Muriel (Stewart) Ritchie passed away about 1960.[2]
