Bessie was born on February 3, 1873. Bessie Stevens according to her death certificate[1] confirmed by the 1911 census.[2] She was the daughter of Amos Stevens and Augusta Mason. She married William Rodenhiser on December 14, 1890.[3] She was born and grew up on Tancook Island, Lunenburg County and lived there much of her life until sometime after 1921 they moved to the LaHave Islands according to the 1931 census[4] and settled on Mosher's Island. She passed away on March 13, 1939[1] and is buried in the Mosher's Island Cemetery.[5]
