John Stern has German Roots.

Biography

John William Stern was born on July 29, 1876 in Adams County, Ohio. He was the son of Joseph Orlando Stern and Samantha Arrasmith. He was the paternal grandson of Frederick Stern and Mary J. Barker and maternal grandson of John Massie Arrasmith and Nancy Storer.

John was the husband of Minnie Pearl Storer (daughter of John Andrew Storer and Georgiana Case) whom he married before 1908. Their marriage record has not yet been found. They were the parents of seven children.

According to his United States World War I draft registration form, he was a farmer of medium height and weight with black hair and brown eyes.

John passed away at the age of sixty-seven from uremia related to chronic diffuse nephritis due to streptococcus infection of the bloodstream with endocarditis as a contributing factor on December 20, 1943 in Wayne Township, Adams County, Ohio.
