I am sorry I haven’t been on here for quite awhile I’m not refusing to merge anything and will get to editing things soon. My gedmatch number is incorrect unfortunately and I will correct that as soon as I get a moment.
Hi there, Mary. Thank you for getting back to me. I apologize for my mistake. I thought I saw where you had rejected a proposed merge but I could be wrong. It seems like there are duplicate profiles for the same people - the same for some members of the Leachman family. It seems like you and I share some of the same ancestors. I mentioned a book written about two decades ago by a family member of mine who had put together our family tree. I know that the farther back one goes, the more sketchy the information is, so some of the information may not be all that accurate. If you see any discrepancies or errors in the profiles I created, just let me know. I just think we should merge them (if they are the same people) - that way it won't be so confusing and family members can connect with each other. Thank you.
If you have brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. WikiTree has one profile for each person, so the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old).
Hey, Just to mention that you may want to create a profile in your own surname, since this enables your profile to find its rightful place in our family tree. Our naming conventions can be found at Name Fields.
Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.
I hope you're enjoying our site. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well!
Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
We also have our Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.
