Gary Bruce Stebbins is the son of Dale Stebbins and Dorothy (Hillman) Stebbins. He was born July 16, 1951, in Colville, Washington. He attended school for 12 years in Colville, then attended 4 years of college at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics. While in college, he started working on the college paper, The Whitworthian, initially as a proofreader.
He worked at American Sign & Indicator Corp. in Spokane for five years before moving, in 1978, to the west side of the state to go to work for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). He left DEC after 14 years and spent about 10 years contracting to several companies in the Seattle area. Much of that time was spent working for Washington State Ferries, and in 2004, he went to work for WSF full time. In 2016, he retired from WSF, but continued working for them part time, giving him time to pursue other interests.
Dorothy (Hillman) Stebbins is confirmed as Gary's mother by DNA.[1]

Once you connect your family to the main Stebbins line, you can find out how closely you're related to a lot of people.
For now, you can see my family tree here. If you click on the tree for Grace Osborn Ludlow, my paternal grandmother, you'll see the first place where I link up with the Stebbins family.
WikiTree is especially good for people with early New England ancestors. Check out the Puritan Great Migration project.
