Biography

Marie Barbe was born 4 Apr 1791 and was baptized the same day in la cathédrale St-Germain de Rimouski. She was the daughter of Pierre St-Laurent and Marie Barbe Metotte (IGD transcription is Milotte, source document is clearly Metotte). Her godparents were Joseph Fournier and her aunt Marie Louise St-Laurent, no signatures. ^[1]

On 31 May 1815, in la cathédrale St-Germain de Rimouski, Jean Baptiste Miville widower of Théotiste Lepage married Marie Barbe St-Laurent adult daughter of Pierre St-Laurent and Marie Barbe Méthot. Witnesses included the bride's father. There is one signature, a friend of the groom, JB Lepage de St-Germain Ecuyer. ^[2]

Marie Barbe St-Laurent, 62 year old wife of Jean Baptiste Déchêne, died 22 Sep 1852. She was buried 2 days later in cathédrale St-Germain de Rimouski cemetery. ^[3]
