George Squibb, son of Daniel Squibb and Mary Ann Scammell, ^[1] was born on 31 August 1886 on the Isle of Wight. ^{[1] [2]} He was baptised on 26 September 1886 in Haven Street, Isle of Wight. ^[1] He married Martha Ellen Louisa Newbery, his first cousin once removed, on 14 October 1911 at St Peter's church, Haven Street, Isle of Wight. ^{[3] [4]} He died on 17 July 1960 on the Isle of Wight. ^{[5] [6]}
