Review
- "Alden was in the sixth generation from John Alden of the Mayflower, and was born at Ashfield, Mass. After his marriage he removed to Oneida County, New York, where all his children, ten in number, were born. Beginning with so latea generation as a practical starting point, Mrs. Fielding has succeeded in collecting full and interesting data concerning the members of the family. The secon part of the work treats of the ancestors of the wife of Isaac Alden, Irene Smith, whose first American forefather was Rev. Henry Smith, who arrived with his wife Dorothy in Plymouth Colony in 1636-7. The volume is a good contribution to Mayflower genealogy."
