I came across a resource that is inaccurately within the South Dakota section in FamilySearch (likely due to origin, but does not show up under NY resources at all):

"Excerpts from Dutch Rerformed Churches, of Albany, Duchess, and Ulster Counties, As Abstracted by Rev. Charles DuBois of Black Hawk, South Dakota," https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHK-93RK-8H9?i=575&cat=4149312, images 575 to 714 Courtesy of Rapid City Society for Genealogical Research (Rapid City, South Dakota), FHL microfilm #107717990

Includes years from 1674-mid.1800's, births, baptism, marriages

Rick,

The Association of Public Historians of NY State keeps an updated list of all NYS village, town and county historians with contact information as a PDF on their website. The latest version was put up a few weeks ago. Is it possible to get this added to assist people in finding the correct contact, maybe as an external link for the NY page? Some towns, etc., do not list their historians and/or their contact info on their websites, having it in one place and current is a plus. The webpage link is here: https://www.aphnys.org/Find-A-Historian. (The direct link to the current PDF is here: https://www.aphnys.org/resources/2023-01-03%20Association%20of%20Public%20Historians%20of%20New%20York%20State%20Find%20a%20Historian.pdf)

I found a source that is proving to be quite helpful to me that lists the history of the counties, towns and cities of New York that I thought might be helpful to others. I'm not sure of the best place to post it!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have started a page for Proceedings of the New York State Historical Association. It includes a link to the volume you reference (Vol. 15). The page is not complete yet, and I will be adding to it soon.
