I'm compiling a list of resources, including freespace pages, that members of the being-revived/revamped US Southern Colonies project would find useful. Our revised scope is Maryland, Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia pre-1776. Were Quakers in Virginia prior to 1776? (I think they were-- down at Hopewell in Frederick Co starting in 1735, right?)

Yes, there were several meetings in VA prior the Am. Rev. including Hopewell. The table above is not all inclusive; yet, it contains the most documented. For a more inclusive list see https://www.quakermeetings.com/Plone/search_display?MeetingName=&County=&StateOrProvince=Virginia&generalSearchWord=
