Biography
My parents were from Rome, Georgia but my father was in the U.S. Army, stationed at Camp Polk Louisiana when I was born. We later moved to Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma, then to Stuttgart Germany, back to Fort Sill, then settled in Rome when dad retired, approx. 1961

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
I'm enjoying WikiTree very much and plan to make it my go to place. I have information spread out over FamilySearch, FamilyTreeDNA, and most recently 23and me, which has given me the most connections.
Labeling myself as a "genealogist" may have been a stretch. I expressed an interest in genealogy to my family and have received some pictures, printouts, letters and have built up a few notebooks and an Excel spread sheet.
I only have a few references which I now understand are needed for certainty.

Thank you for adding a GEDCOM. The GEDCOM does not automatically populate your tree it generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through either accepting or rejecting all suggested matches, once that has been done, you add any remaining names manually
The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.
For those using Chrome or Opera browsers, there is a tool that can help with the formatting of profiles which have been created through GEDCOM, so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
