Margaret Smythe was a daughter of Sir Richard Smythe and Margaret Langton.[1][2]
'Margaret Smith' was baptised on 21 Jan 1612/1613 at St Stephen Coleman Street, City of London, daughter of Sir Richard Smith.[3]
Margaret is noted on the memorial inscription to her father at St Mary the Virgin, Ashford, Kent, indicating that she was the daughter of Sir Richard Smythe by his third wife (Margaret Langton).[1]
In the will of her father Sir Richard Smith of Leeds Castle, Kent, the will made on 12 Oct 1627 and proved on 01 Aug 1628, he made a bequest of £3200 to his daughter Margaret indicating that she was unmarried when the will was made.[4]
Margaret Smythe, daughter of Sir Richard Smythe of Leeds Castle, Kent, married Sir Anthony Irby of Whaplode, Lincolnshire, and Westminster, on 05 Mar 1628/1629 at St Anne Blackfriars, City of London.[5][6]
Margaret was buried on 19 Jul 1631 at Boston, Lincolnshire.[7]
There was no surviving issue of the marriage.
