Biography
Eliza was born about 1808.
She married Francis Dawson at the age of 16 in Dublin. He was an engraver.
Presumably he died before she left Ireland.
She arrived in Victoria on the Prince Arthur in May 1853. She travelled with at least two sons and two daughters, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Her daughter, Elizabeth was already in Victoria.
She passed away in 1881. Her death certificate merely says Smythe for her father's name and mother's name unknown.
