Clara Arnolda was born on 1 june 1848 in Etten, Gendringen, Gelderland, Nederland. She was the daughter of Wilhelmus Smits and Alijda Sophia Rademakers. Her fathers occupation at her birth was "herbergier" [1]
Marriage
On 7 july 1871 at the age of 23 she married Josephus Johannes van Hees in Gendringen.[2] His occupation at the time was "steenbakker".
