"Mrs. Benjamin Giddings, an old resident of Chain of Ponds, died at her residence on May 7, at the age of 95 years. She was a native of Sawtry, Huntingdon, with her husband and three children ar- rived in South Australia 62 years ago. They settled at Kersbrook and afterwards re sided near Gumeracha. In' 1871 they made their home at Chain of Ponds. Mr. Gid dings died at the age of 84 years in 1901. Several of Mrs. Giddings' brothers and sis ters still reside in England, and one is older than she was. Mrs Giddings left two sons (Messrs. F. Giddings of Chain of Ponds, and E. Giddings, of Teatree Gully), four daughters (Mrs. Crispin, of Kers- brook, Mrs. Lamb of Walkerville, Mrs. J. Joyce, of Chain of Ponds, and Miss E. Giddings, of Chain of Ponds), 16 grand- children, 30 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren"
Mrs Giddings brothers and sisters still reside (1916) in England and one is older than she was.
