Sugar Ray Robinson (born Walker Smith Jr.) was a boxing champion, widely regarded as the greatest of all time.[1]

Walker Smith Jr., son of Walker Smith and Leila Hurst, was born in Ailey, Georgia in 1921. He married his first wife, Marjorie Joseph, on June 23, 1938 in New York.[2] His second wife was Edna Mae Holly, whom he married in 1944.[3]

He died in 1989.[4][5][6] Robinson is buried in Inglenook Park Cemetery. [7]
