Biography
Henry Patton Smith was born in 1896 to Adolphus Smith and Jane Chapman. He married Sallie Mecilla Hopper in 1912. They had 6 children together (2 of which died early in life): Odell Smith, Frances Jane ‘Janie’ Cochran, Annie Ree Bailey, Sarah M Smith, A D Smith, and James Leslie Smith. He died in 1977 and is in his final resting place in Adaville Baptist Church Cemetery, Spindale, Rutherford County, North Carolina. [1]
