This community was saddened by the passing of Mrs Marilda (Granny) Lowe, who died Wednesday, February 16 at her home at the age of 86 years. She was born March 5, 1868. She is the widow of the late M C Lowe. Granny lived in Creston until the death of her husband, coming here in 1937. She had been in failing health for several months. Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 18 Surviving are 9 children: Mrs S D Randolph, Clinton; Mrs Dosha Piercy, Akron, Oh; Mrs Zora Reed, Buhl, Idaho; Emmitt, Owen, McKinley and Sedley Lowe, all of Westel; Linkus of Yardley, Wa; Marion, Buhl, Idaho; her brother, J W Smith, Creston; her sister, Matilda A Essary, Stillwell, Ok.
