Biography

Charles Percival Slade was born in Torquay, Devon on 24 March 1876. He was the son of James Slade and Elizabeth Ridout. His birth was registered in Newton Abbot, Devon in the second quarter of 1876^[1].

At the time of the 1891 England and Wales Census, James, Elizabeth Emberley, William Ridout, Mary Lee, John Henry, Edgar James, Catherine Margaret, Charles Percival, Elsie Mable, and Reginald Norman Slade were listed as living in Newton Abbot, Devon, along with a servant^[2].

Percival married Elizabeth Banks in Fulham, London on 18 April 1908. Their marriage was registered in Fulham in the second quarter of 1908^[3].

Percival died Kinson, Bournemouth, Hampshire on 4 December 1959. His death was registered (as Percival C Slade) in Bournemouth in the fourth quarter of 1959^[4]. On his death registration, Percival's occupation was listed as "Baby Carriage Salesman (retired)".
