Donna, your have added over 1,000 profiles, many of them do not have dates or place names, which makes it almost impossible to collaborate with ... and WikiTree is all about collaboration. You signed the Honor Code, which reads: We collaborate. When we share ancestors we work together on the same ancestor profiles.
WikiTree's mission is to grow a free and increasingly accurate single family tree. This is the grand project that unites our community. WikiTree enables the entire world to collaborate on a single, shared family tree.
You recently added an open profile for Carlan G Sargent (Sargent-4445), because the profile is open I was able to research and add sources and ancestors to his profile. Now we have a fully sourced profile with a bio and parents, which is much nicer than a green locked, no dates or places profile.
An Open profile is a beautiful thing, it says "Come Collaborate With Me!" So please, open your green locked profiles.
We are so glad to have you in the WikiTree community and hope that it becomes a vital part of your family history journey. New/improved features and tools are always being added to improve the experience. If something comes up that sparks a question or causes any confusion please do not hesitate to ask. Our Help pages are a great resource, too, or post questions, comments or suggestions on the WikiTree Facebook page or WikiTree on Twitter. Also feel free to e-mail me directly (and privately) at crystal at wikitree.com.
