William Newton was born on 28 April 1872.^[1] He was the son of Geo W Simmons and Barilla Holsclaw.^[2][3][1]

In 1900, William, age 28, married, was residing with his parents at Shepherdsville, but the name of a wife was not listed in the household.^[3] In the 1920 census William (age 47), Farmer, was the married head of household in Shepherdsville, Bullitt, Kentucky.^[4] In the 1930 census William (age 58), Farmer, was the single head of household on Bultha Lick Road, District 1, Bullitt, Kentucky, United States.^[5]

William N. Simmons, son of George Simmons & Brilla Holsclaw, died (age 77) on 11 July 1949 in Bullitt, Kentucky, United States.^[1]

William Newton was buried after 11 July 1949.^[6]

Research Notes
